Wind environment analysis of ground-based optical observatory

Abstract The telescopes and the infrastructures may alter local wind environment around observatory further affect observing environment. After completion of site testing, it is necessary to analyze entire plan telescope layout make use excellent conditions scientifically rationally. Taking a typical as an example, effect topographical features on mutual interference between enclosures are analyzed by using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) method. CFD simulations compared with seeing data from Differential Image Motion Monitor (DIMM), results in good agreement, which verifies effectiveness analysis can provide reasonable suggestions for construction, reducing effects improving
